How do I change my password?

Replace your Opeaz password from the "Settings" page if you know it, or receive a link by e-mail from the login page if you have forgotten it.

Changing my password when I am logged in

  1. Click the "Settings" gear in the top bar: the "Settings" page opens.

  2. In "Account configurations", click "User data".

  3. In the "New Password" block, enter the new password in "New Password" and your current password in "Current Password".

  4. Click "Save".

Result: your new password is saved; use it the next time you log in.

Other path: click the "Account settings" icon (the three dots next to your initials, at the bottom of the left menu), then "Settings"; the rest is identical. Why this path: the "Settings" gear is always visible at the top of the screen and opens the page in one click.

Forgotten password: receiving a link by e-mail

  1. Open the Opeaz login page and click "Forgot password / First login".

  2. Enter your e-mail address and click "Receive a link by e-mail".

  3. Open the Opeaz e-mail "Choose your password" and click "Choose my password".

  4. Set your new password, then click "Confirm my password".

Result: "Welcome, your access is ready!" is displayed; log in with your new password.

  • The link in the e-mail works only once and remains valid for 7 days.

  • The password must contain at least 8 characters, an uppercase letter and a lowercase letter, at least one number and at least one symbol (!@#$%^&*+?).

  • The administrator of your laboratory account can also reset your password ("Settings" page > "Team members" > "Reset password").

If it does not work

  • The password change is refused → check your current password and read the message displayed under the "New Password" field: on the "Settings" page, the password must contain at least 8 characters, a number, a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a special character (!@#$%^&*), with no three consecutive numbers ("Password cannot contain consecutive numbers").

  • You do not receive the "Choose your password" e-mail → check the address you entered and your spam folder; otherwise contact support via the Opeaz bubble.
